‘We’re dying’ – Nurses protest in Ogun

Nurses under the umbrella of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, NANNM, have protested against the management of the Federal Medical Centre, Idi Aba, Abeokuta, Ogun State, over what they call terrible working conditions. The health workers, during their protest on Wednesday, said their members collapsed on duties over work overload and due to an unconducive work environment. AFCON 2023: SuperSport will not televise tournament

SuperSport, Africa’s biggest pay TV broadcaster, will not broadcast the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). This is because the broadcaster has not been ‘able to secure rights for the tournament’. SuperSport disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday. However, the 2023 AFCON will be available on Free To Air (FTA) Channels. DAILY POST reports that the 2023 AFCON is scheduled for January 13th – February 11th, 2024. Ivory Coast is the host nation for the 2023 AFCON.
