Boko Haram destroyed 330 KVA power towers in Yobe.

The police command in Yobe State has reported that suspected Boko Haram insurgents destroyed two 330 KVA power transmission towers in the state. Dungus Abdulkarim, the spokesperson for the command, said this when he spoke with newsmen in Damaturu on Saturday. According to him, the transmission towers supply electricity from Gombe to Yobe and Borno states. Abdulkarim said that the attackers were believed to have used improvised explosive devices to blow up the facilities in the early hours of Saturday. In Kwara, a suspected bandit have been slain, two others detained

In the Omupo District of the Ifelodun Local Government Area in Kwara State, between the peaceful villages of Maloko and Sulu, bandits struck again on Friday. According to reports that reached TATAITV, the attack resulted in the kidnapping of three individuals, two of them were female, but the other man managed to flee. Following them, hunters and vigilantes saved the two girls and captured the alleged bandits. Unverified rumours claim that one of the bandits was shot dead during a gunfight. Contact attempts with Ejire Adeyemi Toun, the spokesperson for the Kwara State police command, were unsuccessful.
